Yes, that's right, Cortijo Opazo, Green Mountain Yurt and Jardin de la Alpujarra are all for sale.
We bought Cortijo Opazo 22 years ago, in 2002, and moved to Spain a year later. We restored the ruined cortijo that was here, included two lovely holiday apartments and a grand space for us to live in, then set about creating an extraordinary garden project. In 2004 we welcomed our first paying holiday guests, and in 2007 we opened the garden to visitors for the first time, and have done so regularly since then. The garden has become a location for local events, including musical concerts, pop up dining and as a destination for artists seeking inspiration. 2012 saw the addtion of the Green Mountain Yurt to our business profile, and in 2015 the finishing of our creative garden workshop. In the years that followed we added garden lunches and cookery courses in our fabulous wood fired oven located in the outdoor kitchen of our creative workshop space. We have also run fully catered self guided walking holidays.

Now it is time to move on, and consider retirement! The dream we hatched more than 21 years ago has given us a great ride but it is time to hand over the whole enterprise to new hands, to develop however they may wish.
We have created a good, solid business that has seen us through world recession and pandemic, but has still proved a good income for us. There are many ways in which this great location could be developed further, be it in new creative ways or by expanding the business futher and therefore the income stream.
