Corona Virus Pandemic effects on bookings
As a gesture of good will to our guests, anyone who has made a booking, or who makes a booking in the future, that is affected by the travel restrictions incurred with the corona virus crisis will be able to move their booking to a new date (subject to availability) without further charge. This way you can makes plans for the future secure in the knowledge that your booking is flexible. This overrides our usual terms and conditions and is intended for those whose travel insurance will not cover them in these circumstances.
Health and safety in mind for your next stay. We would like to reassure clients that cleansing regimes include the use of disinefectant and/or bleach on all surfaces to combat the COVID-19 virus. We can offer guests the chance to stay at Cortijo Opazo in a completely non human contact environment if you wish. The key, which will have been sterilised, can be collected from a key safe, and whilst the owners will most probably be around to answer any questions we will maintain a safe social distance at all times
Booking. On reserving the accommodation you will be asked to pay a deposit of 40% of the total price. The reservation is not confirmed until that payment has been made and you have advised us by email.
The balance will be due eight weeks before you holiday starts. If you make your reservation within the eight week period then we will ask for full payment at the time of booking. If payment is not made within this timescale and we do not hear from you we reserve the right to consider the reservation cancelled by the client - see conditions below.
Cancelation. Once money has been paid no refunds can be given execept in the following circumstances: If you need to cancel your booking and we can relet all of your dates at the same price then we will refund your money less a €50 adminsitration fee. If we can let just some of your dates we will work out a pro rata refund less the admin fee. If you cancel your booking and we cannot relet any of your dates then no money will be refunded.
If you have booked a fully catered walking holiday and cancel more than 8 weeks before the holiday then we will refund some of your money paid but will retain 40% of the relevant self catering price plus €50. If you cancel between 4 to 8 weeks then we will charge you the self catering price for the accommodation plus €50 and refund the difference. If we can relet the accommodation you will be refunded the value of the letting less €50. There can be no refund for cancelations made within 4 weeks of a fully catered walking holiday unless we are able to relet the accommodation, in which case you will be refunded the value of the letting less €50.
If we cancel. If, for any reason, we need to cancel the reservation, we will try to find you satisfactory accommodation near by but if this is not possible or you do not wish for alternative accommodation then you will be given a full refund but we cannot be held responsible for any other consequences of such cancelation.
Late payment. If the date for the final payment is not met then we reserve the right to cancel the holiday without issuing a refund of any money already paid.
Pets may be allowed only on the prior consent of the owners. We will ask for a financial deposit of €80 cash on arrival which will be refunded at the end of you stay if no damage has been done.
Damages. The accommodation will be clean when you arrive. If you see anything that you would consider as substandard please inform the owners straightaway so that it can be rectified. This also applies to any damage or unsatisfactory conditions during your stay. The owners will always attempt to resolve any problems on the spot to your satisfaction if we are made aware of them.
On departure the accommodation must be left in the same condition it was found regarding cleanliness and arrangement of furniture etc. Any damages must be declared and you must be prepared to pay in full to repair or replace items that you have damaged.
Arrival and departure. The accommodation will be available to you from 16.00 on the day of your arrival and you should vacate by 11.00 on the day of your departure. Arrivals and departures outside this time might be possible but you should consult the owners beforehand. We do not nromally admit arrivals after 22.00. If this is unavoidable then we need to know about such late arrivals in advance. It is your reponsibility to advise us on your arrival time. If we are not kept informed, especially if there is a delay in your travel arrangments, then we cannot gaurantee to be here to meet you and give access to the accommodation.
Visitors. If you wish to have visitors during your stay then we ask, in the interests of site security, that you inform us in advance. Visitors must vacate the property by 23.00. Under no circumstances can additional people including children and babies, other than those specified at the time of booking, be permitted to stay overnight.
Security. We ask that when you leave the accommodation you lock all do0rs and windows. In any event we are not repsonsible for your possessions and if any are stolen whilst here then they will not be covered by our insurance policy. If our possesions in the accommodation are stolen because you have left the windows open or the door unlocked whilst away from the premises then we reserve the right to charge you for their loss. They will be covered by our insurance policy only if there is evidence of a break in.
Access. We reserve the right to enter the accommodation during your stay at any reasonable time in the event of there being a malfunction or suspected malfunction of essential equipment, or any other reasonable cause for concern such as the premises not be properly secured. If you are there we will, of course, knock on the door first but if you are not there we reserve the right of entry using our own key.
