Self guided walking routes in the Alpujarras

Whether you have booked one of our all inclusive walking holidays or choose to come to Cortijo Opazo on a self catering independant holiday, you will be able to borrow our in house walking guides.  These are routes that we have explored and written oursleves with relevant photocopied maps.  We regularly up date these routes and can give you the lates information of the condition of the paths and any recent changes, based on our experiences and those of other guests.  This means that as soon as you arrive at Cortijo Opazo you can begin to explore this facsicnating region yourself on foot and not waste a single moment wondering where the foot paths lead.  And if you are out and about on the hillside and are not sure which way to go, you can always give us a ring.

Guests have found our walking cards a great addition to their time here and have been impressed by the clarity of the instructions and the range of walking on offer.  Many of our routes starts at Cortijo Opazo so you won't necessarily need a car, but with your own transport, there is a fabulous selection of treks to be tackled, from gentle village strolls to high level mountain hiking.
