We flew a long way, traversed perilous roads, to arrive here, in heaven. The gorgeous apartments and gardens were exceeded only by the gracious hosts. Thank you for the brilliant gourmet dinner you delighted us with. Your cortijo is spectacular, we will remember the charming nearby towns, the tapas, the fresh air, the invigorating walks and the sounds of your mountain paradise: birds singing, dogs barking, a horse whinnying, church bells tolling, bees buzzing and goat bells tinkling.

We have spent a truly blissful week here at La Corona, Cortijo Opazo. We had lots of plans but have found it very difficult to tear ourselves away from the patio area and the amazing views. We have spent many happy hours (day and night) watching the world go by and never getting bored at the stunning scenery. The dogs, the garden (absolutely delightful) the views, the wonderful apartment, all made for a very special holiday. William and Robert, thank you so much for being great hosts. Your personal welcome on our first night along with the fabulous food you cooked for us will always stay in our memories. This has been a very special holiday for us and we are already looking forward to coming back again.

We had a wonderful relaxing time here at Cortijo Opazo. The scenery is spectacular, we have seen booted eagles, bee eaters and ibex, and have enjoyed watching the dogs herding the goats below the house. The accommodation is very comforatable, it is tempting not to leave the terrace at all. Congratulations on providing a very special place to retreat to.

What a shame we only booked one week. Both of us can truly say this has been a holiday of a lifetime. The walking is superb and we feel we have only scratched the surface! Robert and William are wonderful hosts, there if needed but never 'in your face'. The accommodation is perfect, it has been such a surprise to find such a well equipped kitchen. We will definitely recommend it to all our friends (but would quite like to keep it a secret).

A beautiful place to relax in. It didn't take long for us to get into the laid back way of life that seems typical of Las Alpujarras. Good food, cheap wine, wonderful scenery, and lots of sunshine. Look out for the humming bird hawk moths in William and Robert's wonderful garden. There will be goat bells tinkling in our ears for a while to come. We loved it!

A wonderful place to stay, superbly furnished and equipped. You could not wish for better views and surroundings. Breakfast on the terrace was a delightful experience. The terrace is a superb location for painting, bird watching, siestas and general relaxation. The walks were breathtaking and we really appreciated the fantastic walking notes which give you the confidence to be more ambitious with your hikes. And Robert and William, so hospitable and full of fascinating information about the area. Not forgetting Ella, everyone's favourite dog.

We've had a wonderful six days in this hillside paradise and enjoyed the great walks on the mule tracks between the villages. We loved sitting on the terrace, for breakfast or in the evening after the sun has gone down and the sheep have been put in for th night; the views, the flowers, the herbs for cooking. Thank you William and Robert for your kindness, your advice and for enabling us to have the best possible holiday in this beautiful, unspoilt place. We will tell others, I know they will love it as much as we have.

Our first trip to the Alpujarras area and we were lucky enough to find the perfect location and accommodation. The cortijo has been fabulously renovated and this is a great credit to Robert and William, who have also been great hosts. Details of local walks have been so helpful and we have enjoyed our short stay - we will come back for more.
