Our second visit, this time staying in 'El Lujar' (first visit, La Corona Oct. 2004). We loved the courtyard and views across the garden. We can't believe how much has changed in two years - the garden is amazing. Thanks for being perfect hosts, we look forward to coming back again (and again). Nowhere can beat this!

Every superlative written by others before us is justified. This is a very special place. But what makes it even more special is the kindness, consideration and hospitality shown by Robert and William We could not have found a better holiday if we'd searched for two years, let alone two days (we were going to north west Scotland but then looked at the forecast !!) We will be back as soon as possible.

We stayed in El Lujar at Cortijo Opazo. It was perfect in every way. Robert and William have worked hard to create a unique holiday destination in a beautiful area. They have thought of everything and are the perfect hosts. Thoroughly recommendable.

This was the first time we have visited the area and we are most impressed. The Alpujarras are wonderful. Excellent walking, good food and superb hospitality. Cortijo Opazo is a great choice of location, we will difinitely be back and recommend it to all our friends.

Our friends recommended Cortijo Opazo to us so we made it our first stop on our honeymoon. Robert, William and Ella (the dog) made us very welcome, the countryside is beautiful and the walking is fantastic. The gentle goat bell tune sounding from the valley below fills the air; we have had a great time here and hope to return.

Romantic, authentic and moorish. For people who like to walk in the mountains and love nature it is a splendid environment - a tremendous week.

We stayed for two weeks at Cortijo Opazo, the ideal base to explore this beautiful area, the villages, the hiking paths and the mountains. We loved your original style cortijo, and with hosts like you, it was like being at home.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We had high expectations because our friends recommended it to us and we were not disappointed at all! Thank you Robert and William for everything.

We have had a lovely week here. The weather has been just right for walking. What a peaceful and tranquil cortijo. We have eaten out on the patios many times and have enjoyed the beautiful views across the hills every day. Thanks for a beautifully appointed cottage and for being helpful with your advice - we will certainly recommend you.

We had a great first visit to the Alpujarras. El Lujar is comfortably and attractively equipped, and is very cosy with its wood burning stove. A lovely area to explore. Thanks for the walking guides and a comforatable, relaxing stay.

We've had a wonderful week here at El Lujar. You have done an amazing job on the cortijo, it looks great and the surroundings are absolutely spectacular. We will definitely be back to see your full grown Garden of Eden
